Final |
For this project, I decided to throw on the wheel and then put patterns on my piece to challenge myself more. I had one started but it got broken, so I had to re-start. With the time I had left, I threw once more and tried to get a good pattern. Though, I wish it would have turned out better, I did what I could in the time I had.

Mosaic |
For this project, we had to create a mosaic which is a bunch of small pieces of glass or stones and they are put on a surface. I could have put my pieces of glass on a piece of plexi glass, but the other option was a glass jar, which I choose to do.

Paper |
For this project, I had to create an image, whether it be abstract or an actual image. I choose to do more than an abstract piece involving a moon and wind, but it can be taken any way. My colors were dark grey, light grey, white, light blue, dark blue, dark green, dark pink, and a soft pink.
|
Etching |
I carved into something and then put ink on it, wiped it off and then printed it. I choose to do a turtle and named it tortle. This was sketched out originally for a weekly drawing but I wanted to turn it in to something more. My practice one was a rain drop.

Ukrainian Eggs |
This was a very fun project but I think the best thing is that I didn't break an egg or burn myself or stab myself with the tool (I forgot the name of the tool). Basically, I put beeswax on an egg and then would dye the egg whatever color I wanted it to be. Then I would put more beeswax on the the egg and then burn all the wax off the egg in the end. I made two eggs and these are my results.

Final 2nd Trimester |
I had to come up with my own project and this was based on a weekly drawing I did. The weekly drawing was based on a dream that I have had a lot. Overall, I love the way that it came out.
|
Collaborative Project |
Working with 3 other classmates, we came up with an idea to create a positive message. We came up with a color scheme for the background (orange, dark purple, light purple, blue, and turquoise all outlines in black).

Throwing on the Wheel |
Since our class did a project that I already did, I had to do an alternate project. I chose to throw on the wheel, which was a very fun project. I had to make a cylinder and one other thing of my choice. I made two other bowls and my required cylinder. My favorite piece would be the pink bowl (which I accidentally chipped but its fine) and my least favorite is the cylinder because it is lopsided and I didn't put multiple coats of glaze on it. The green bowl, I wish I wouldn't have did the designs and it is a but too thick. All in all, I loved throwing on the wheel and look forward to the ceramics class I will be taking next trimester.

Trimester One Final |
I had to create something that I thought of for this project. My real struggle when creating this was actually finding out what I wanted to do. It took me a long time to figure out what I wanted to do. Since it is fall, I decided to do a fall themed piece. The medium I used was ink and water color paint.
|
Fauvism |
Fauvism is a style of painting with non-naturalistic use of color. My medium choices were, oil pastels, acrylic paint, or water color paint. I choose to do water color because I am not that good and wished to improve. I believe that I could have done WAY better and wish I had. I hope to improve even more next time I do watercolor.
|
Georgia O'Keefe |
For this project, I had to draw an object large than its usual size. I selected a Lily Flower and choose to do different colors than the picture I used. The medium I used was chalk pastels. I felt very intimidated while doing this project because I was very unfamiliar with chalk pastels and going large scared me. I wish I would have add better depth and shadows, though. Overall, I am very pleased by the outcome of my flower.

Sketch Book |
Every year that I have taken art, we have had to make our own sketch books. This year, however, was different because I had to do my own research how to make one because in previous years we were told how to make them by our teacher. It was a fun experience with help from others that did the same project. The wavy lines are made out of oil pastels and the fabric is the purple blue picture.
