FINAL PROJECT
This is our final. I did two different things.
Mini Panting
Splatter paint in the back is purple. The other part of the iceberg is on another one. I did a snowy owl.
Weaving
I weaved this for my Art class. It's a bag and I plan on making a handle for it. The pattern is red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, blue, green, yellow, orange, and red.
Think Outside the Box
There is a magazine piece in there. It is suppose to be ink pens but I transformed it into musical instruments.
Painting Alebrijes
After our teacher fired our clay alebrijes we waited a while to paint them. This is how i painted mine.
Self Portrait
This project was one that I tried drawing after getting taught about a woman named Frida Kahlo. She drew self-portraits with symbols that symbolized things that happened her and changed her. This is a self-portrait of me with symbols in the background. The symbols are indian symbols. I picked them because I have a lot of Indian in my family genes.
Practice People Drawings
We practiced drawing people for our next project, a self portrait. I put the symbol of the woman crying because this woman looks like me and my mother with longer hair. The woman crying symbolized what hard things me and my mother went together and the deep depression we both fought against.
Alebrijes
In our Art 1 class we making Alebrijes, a type of Mexican folk art. It has to do with combining animals together to make a single animal. Mine is a penguin body with penguin feet, a lemur tail, cat mouth, and a panda head. These are some pictures as I progressed. The people in my class named it Plupica.
Abstract
My second Abstract drawing. Made with chalk pastels
My first drawings of Abstract. Made with oil pastels.
Collagraph
This was my first thing we did in my Art 1 class. It has to do with drawing something you like and then putting it on a plate. After that, we made it out if strings and other objects, putting paint or ink on it and putting it on paper.
Free Draw
I made this drawing when I had nothing else to do. I finished my work early so I drew this. I could do more to it but I like the way it turned out. I think I will keep it like this.
Block letters
A project our teacher, Mrs. Fiedler, had us do.
